I looooove food and my husband and I make it a point to try different restaurants and all sorts of cuisine. And now that I’m I’m pregnant. I REALLY EAT… ALOT!
I’d been waiting with bated breath for Century City Mall’s upscale food court concept “Hole in the Wall” to open for quite a while now. I had heard that the owners were creating something really unique architecturally and with food choices that are new and novel. And since I live 5 minutes away from the mall, I decided to go ahead and try it out.
Stepping into the place, immediately it already is a feast for the eyes. Interior design is fantastic! Elements of wood, metal, grates, grills, container van walls, are softened by soft couches, and loungy seating areas. I would have to say it is the best looking food court in the entire country! (If you can call it that cause it’s really like a food court on steroids…I totally love the place) and 80% of the furniture was made specifically for the place.
There are multiple restaurants and different types of cuisine within HITW, and marketing manager Oya made us try EVERYTHING! It’s such a cool place, with so many unique and distinct sitting areas, you line up in your selected resto and then you get a buzzer that tells you when your order is ready.
I love love love Hole in the Wall, and I highly recommend you guys check it out! Do dinner before a movie or a live band at 12 monkeys! See photos below :)
Kwong’s is descried to have Binondo style comfort food. Known for their Soft Shell crab in a white bun! That was Super Good!!!! Wow!
Phobobo on the other hand served hot noddle soup with lumpia!
Mister Delicious on the other hand makes his own meat and brews his own craft beer and ginger ale (yum)! Hubby had three beers with his buds after dinner. They have different sizes of sandwiches too including a full packed Pastrami, BLT, etc..
They make their own craft beer!
Loved this lighting fixture!
Bad Bird (don’t you love the name? :P) I had heard so many good reviews about this resto, and their southern fried chicken is to die for!!! And my husband’s favorite for sure. You had three choices of Safe, Spicy or Chemical. I suggest you start with the safe cause the spicy was already too much for me, and I heard the Chemical was so incredibly spicy that it can make someone’s lips swollen. (So you guys up for that challenge haha)
The wooden area and the dolls you see when you line up in Bad Bird.
Then you have Spruce where they have cold pressed juice and they also have Kale chips! For you healthy folks…this is the organic, green living choice.
The beef was not yet open when we got here. I heard they will be serving burgers!
Liberation sserves Middle Eastern cuisine. They technically weren’t open yet but they were giving out free shawarma and Falafel samples. You had beef, pork and cheese spice to choose from for sauce. Pretty tasty! (They’ll be open first or second week of December)
Falafel!
And let us not forget the desserts. I know our little one loves the sweets, because every time I have cake or pastries, she starts dancing and kicking in my belly! The Green Cheese its a Japanese Cheesecake which is just wow! It melts in your mouth and just the right amount of richness :) They have original flavor and green tea. I heard they are developing new ones for next year too.
Tha Happiest Cheesecake ;)
You can order puddings too!
Tiny Duchess on the other hand has savory and sweet éclairs. So many choices, GP loves éclairs and says he will be bringing some home every time he goes.
They open at 5pm so come at 5 so you can see the awesome sunset too at the CenturyCity Mall!
