For my birthday this year, GP was thinking of getting me a bag or a watch… but i kinda dissuaded him from it. We’re actually trying to save, and there wasn’t anything I really wanted from any designer boutique. What I actually really DID want was a GoPro a Hero 3+ Black Edition. For those of you who dont know, im a gadget gal. I’ll usually pick a new iphone over the latest Balenciaga or Givenchy (Chanel….well…that’s a different story) but anyway I’ve really been wanting a GoPro for some time now. The GoPro is a small camera that can take videos and pictures from a wide angle. It’s a cool gadget for sports as it has different mounts and accessories that you can buy. There’s no screen but you can use the app on your smartphone to view and even control the gadget. I thought it was so cool. I even asked advice from Magic Liwanag who’s a good friend and photographer for Hola, Jayvee Hernandez who’s a tech blogger and the photographer of the stars Raymond Isaac and they all said that it was a gadget really worth getting. And I was so ecstatic when GP decided to get it for me! (He keeps saying he invented it… GoPro Reyes daw haha)
but …. YES!! IT’S AWESOME!! And I was so happy with this perfect birthday gift. Just in time for our Boracay trip! In fact the night before we left I spent hours learning how to use it!
We flew to the island last weekend for a friends wedding (Bong and Tiny Go congrats again:) which was on a thursday, which gave us an entire weekend to ourselves to enjoy the beach. GP and I have been working like crazy recently and wanted some time with each other so this was a much needed vacation for the both of us. We were able to bond with our good friends too over happy hour and every time I’d pull out my camera…. They would joke around and say “Uyy.. Blogger!”. Hahaha! But you know, I’m well aware that I just started this little blog of mine and i respect the bloggers who’ve been doing it for a long time. I wouldn’t call myself a blogger just yet…since for me its still a little weird… Let’s just put it this way, I like a lot of things, do alot of travelling, go on alot of journeys whether just to a new restaurant or a new country and I guess this is my way of sharing it with all of you! and now I get to use my new GoPro gadget. Hi Andi, love this entry, I got the Go Pro Hero 3+ Black edition for my boyfriend as well for his birthday just recently and we managed to use it on our beach trip last weekend. love the photos that comes out from it! Research more on accessories, tripods & mounts for full utilization of the cam :) Enjoy!

What’s pp? Yes raw photos :) If you mean photoshop… I dont use photoshop ;)
Yes he has a lot of accessories for go pro, we got a selfie stick/mono pod, then also attached the wifi remote to it for easy use. We also got a real tripod for group pics which includes yourself because you don’t have to hold the cam since you also got the wifi remote. He also installed a mount in his car, 2-way, one is below the rear view mirror where you can either take a pic inside the car, or take a recording while you are driving on a scenic route; the other one is he also installed it at the back of the headrest of the passenger seat, since this way the go pro can record/pic the driver + the passenger AND the view while driving. We might also buy the car mount/suction cap since we need it when we try racing in the coming months. So yeah it depends on what pics you want to take and whenever :))

For the monopod/selfie stick, I think he got it in Pixel Pro, 3rd floor of Vira Mall Greenhills. It’s also available in Henry’s Glorietta. Other accessories are also available in CDR King.

Hi Andi, I’m a gadget girl too. Nice to know I not the only one. I would save up for any gadget (including gopro) than any clothes, shoes, bag, etc. Cheers to your new born blog. Once I get a gopro, I might have to start my own blog too. Haha!
