I’ve always wanted to go to San Francisco, but somehow never got the chance to visit on my trips to the States.… Songs like “wake me up in San Francisco” or the more classic “I left my heart in San Francsico” (me being a radio dj of course it’s the songs that made me curious at first).
So on this particular US trip, I made it a point to include SF as our next stop. GP had some meetings in Las Vegas so it was a perfect mother and daughter adventure for us in this famous northern Californian destination. We stayed with mom’s best friend since HS Tita Liza in Danville (Danville is such a charming and quaint area) and she was our tour guide, driver and the best companion to go around with. A soon as we landed she took us straight to the Golden Gate Bridge… and OH BOY, what a sight to behold. I have to admit that i was teary eyed when i first saw “her”. I could imagine all the movies they shot here, just reliving every scene in my imagination. This wonderful work of architectural art was shimmering red in the sunshine and everything that surrounded her reflected her beauty. I was truly in awe. In our 4 day stay in San Fran, we saw all the different views of the city and The Golden Gate, was always the perfect photobomber if there ever was one.
We then went to the Palace of Fine Arts where we sat down in one of the benches and simply took time to take in its beauty. I’d love to live in one of the houses beside it. We grabbed a snack at Chestnut Bakery and walked around the area then headed next to Lombard street or the Crookedest Road in the world! I tell you this was just our first day!!! We really made the most out of it!
The next few days we headed to to the Academy of Science, Ferry House, Fisherman’s Wharf, Sausalito, Berkley, Grizzly Peak, Alamo Sqaure, Baker beach, Lands End, Cliff House, Ocean Beach all these in 3 days… See photos below :) next stop Nappa Valley!
Our first stop right when we landed!
My mom and her best friend since GS Tita Liza.

I heard they serve good food in the warming hut!

Then we headed to the Palace of Fine Arts. Oh it was so perfect!
I was so glad i brought my GoPro <3
So we saw one guy climbing up and we ended up copying him all for the sake of a picture ;)

I did it! But i was seriously shaking! Hahaha!
Guess who decided to do it too? :P
We then headed to the Lombard Street!!!

Every thursday at the Academy they have an event called “Night at the Academy” from 6-10pm. This is where you can go around with a cocktail in your hand. They have different exhibits every week and DJ’s :) It was super FUN!
Us with the Santana family!
We danced through the night!

One of the best pizzas i’ve ever tried. Its run by a family. and Jules is the name of one of their daughters :)

Ferry House!
I just had to post this! Its the best! Hahahaha
I’m not a coffee drinker but Blue Bottle Coffee is sooooo good!
Blue Hawaii Açai Cafe! MUST TRY! I’d go back to SF just for this!
On our last day we headed to Union Square then from there we took the the tram!
My mom and her grade school friends :)

My mom and Tita Rachel!

Cable car!!!

We got lucky this time ;)
Took the tram to Embarcadero!
And of course had to eat in Boudin!
Best clam chowder I’ve had. HANDS DOWN!
The view from where we sat!

Went around Pier 39 also to see the seals!
After the Embarcadero we drove to Sausalito but stopped first to take photos with the Golden Gate <3

Got a little wind effect ;)
Sausalito <3
Oh i could live here!
