A couple of friends and I wanted to do a catch up for dinner and a friend mentioned that she wanted to try out Maria Luisa’s at the Makati Garden Club. I had never heard about this resto, but my husband kept raving about it, when he and his business partners had dinner there a few months back. Apparently it’s a quaint little house in the middle of a flourishing garden and it’s right in the middle of Makati. (on the corner of Edsa and Ayala) I was so curious to see what they had to offer. I called for reservation and they mentioned that it was only for members. I kinda panicked a little bit but thank God one of our friend’s mother-in-law was a member :)
We arrived around 730. I came prepared since i knew a place like this would not be a cheap dinner. I walked the stone steps through this lush manicured garden, with an assortment of plants and trees and flowers, and we were led into the restaurant. Very quaint and full of charm, and as we sat on our table we realized we had the entire place all to ourselves. The first thing we did was ask for the wine list. Private dinners like this called for a celebration! Haha! I took me so long to decide what to eat… Until i just stuck to what they had best. The duck leg.

Hi Ms. Andi!
:)
Oh wow! The place looks so cozy…and yes, girly! Haha! It does look like a very nice place for a quiet night out with girlfriends. Btw, you mentioned that before you can try this place out, you need to be a member? How? And how much is the membership fee? :) Thanks Andi for writing stuffs about places like this. :)
I wish i knew! Try calling them. I think a member just has to endorse you also and you can eat there :)
Beautiful place :)
