During the craziness and busyness of the holidays my family and I were able to take a break and do a little staycation in Solaire. My oh my were we treated like VIP’s! They picked us up from home via Toyota Alphard (I like that car hint hint GP) and our driver was great! (The van even had a car seat. Plus points!), we were whisked away to Solaire’s new wing, and greeted and welcomed by the wonderful staff. They soon escorted us to our room and to our surprise, it was a cavernous suite on the Sky Tower’s highest floor with a truly spectacular view of the bay. The suite was huge! So very well appointed and beautifully decorated. It even had wonderful coffee table book on cars and fashion so both GP and I had the perfect reading material apart from the entertainment from the Gigantic LED TV’s in the masters, the dining room, the living room and even the bathroom! I would probably go out on a limb and say it’s the nicest suite I’ve stayed in here in Manila. It was a treat for Olivia too as it became her big playground.
It was my first time to stay at Solaire so I wanted to try everything. Especially the restaurants! Let me do a quick rundown..
We ate in Red Lantern. Twice! We availed their dim sum lunch buffet and the food was excellent! Another restaurant we tried was Yakumi. It’s a Japanese restaurant and they served the freshest sashimi that melts in your mouth and they also serve fresh wasabi. We got the set menu and had the chef cook our wagyu and lobsters and it was quite a show.
Gp and I also wanted time alone so we dated in Finestra, a fine dining Italian restaurant with spectacular interiors. The interior designer who designed this really did a good job. It’s so classy. When you visit look for Rennel, he was our server and he will recommend you the best wine that will accompany your food. I recommend the sea bass though! It’s definitely the best I’ve tasted!
The breakfast Buffet was fantastic too and I truly love that vertical Garden with the waterfall, such an instagrammable spot. GP had a great time having drinks with his friends at the Eclipse Lounge where you can watch live bands for some nighttime entertainment.
We had so much fun in Solaire. It really did feel like home. We watched the sunset by the pool, had a relaxing massage and just got to really enjoy the suite. Definitely the perfect luxurious getaway right in the city. We will definitely stay there again. Here are some photos!
Olivia had her own baby bouquet!
Look how huge the suite was! This was only half of it!
Told you it was Olivia’s playground!
Cant go wrong with chocolates and wine!
Dim sum buffet!
I really enjoyed this outdoor area. Not sure if you can see it but there’s an indoor waterfall!
Wowa also visited us in Solaire! This is such a perfect photo!
Dinner in Yakumi!
Melts in your mouth!
Fresh wasabi!
She was scared of the jacuzzi. Haha!
Yaya Annabelle didn’t want to swim! Hehe
The beautiful sunset of Manila Bay!
We will definitely be back!
